BLOG: Gee! ...no, GTE by Brian Manzella

me and my friend took a 15 hour trip from Estonia to New York,
we had ten lessons over 3 days with Micheal Jacobs, like Brian said many times at the seminar, probably one of the best teachers in the country, and I have no doubt about that, and he is also a great person!
then we drove 6 hours to Maryland, played Lake Presidential, fantastic course. Attended GTE, so much great information, great fun, great people.
When we introduced ourselves to Brian, then my friend told me right away, that without knowing him, you can see, just by looking at him, that this guy is a very very smart person. And the two days proved that to be absolutely true! Thanks Brian and thanks also to all the Manzella staff instructors and to all the seminar participants. We learned so much!
Drove back 8 hours to New York, and another 15 hour trip back home.
I had never met Michael or Brian before, about one year ago I saw brian's youtube videos, joined the forum, bought the dvd-s, read all his posts plus many others, about a month later found Michael's site, bought the dvd-s, read all his posts plus watched his video posts.
Been teaching now for ten years, and since joining those two forums, have learned more than the 9 earlier years together.
Thanks to this one year I took the trip to Michael and to the GTE, no regrets what so ever!
Flights 30 hours, drove 1300 miles, big amount of dollars spent:rolleyes:
Compered to the new stuff I learned, and to use it in my teaching and game - very cheap;)

I think Ringer that Brian's videos and forum are the test drive. GTE was the real thing, Brian is the real thing!

I obviously would recommend it, Ringer. By the way, good to see you back. However, I am not attending the first Trackman users conference. I desperately want to go, but I can only make so many of these trips financially feasible. So I understand where you're coming from. Maybe next year.

You can certainly do what you want to do, as far as my post I guess I was saying that a few others (some that hadn't met Brian before either) shelled out the dough and I believe got what they thought was value for their money. I am sure that you could use some new perspective and continuing education in your field. I for one would highly recommend the GTE for developing teaching professionals.

Best of luck to you, and your students.

Thank you. Please understand it's mostly a matter of financial situation than desire. Sure if I had unlimited funds I'd be one of the first people to book a spot. Unfortunately I don't and it would make things a lot easier if Brian made a west coast appearance.

Thanks Kevin. Trying to keep a small business afloat these days takes away from a lot of the time I used to be able to dedicate.

I would like to go, but weighing the sacrifices against the benefits I have to choose electricity for the house, food for the girlfriend, and insurance for the work vehicle over a conference that I'd like to attend.

Like I said, if it were closer (somewhere on the west coast) I would go due to the change in financial requirements.

Of course we had a few folks that had left for travel, like Michael Jacobs, and some Monday only locals not in this photo.

Hardesty you look like you just shot 100 at Owl Creek, why the mean mug lol:D

Wish I could have been there, can't wait til the next opportunity!!!

It would be interesting to show a list of names in standard meeting photo style.

Glad to see a few gray hairs in there.

How many non-instructors attended?
