BManz ... You justifiably banned some things around here..

I tend to agree with SteveT. I know the kind of confusion that results from trying to copy a pros swing or some part of it. You may get temporarily better but it never lasts

As mentioned earlier it is almost impossible from a 2D video to determine what a player is doing angle wise and totally impossible to understand what is happening inside the muscles. If we had D plane numbers and a full 3D biomechanical survey maybe something useful could be gained.

But for me true improvement has resulted from: 1. a lesson with Manzella 2. diligence in putting that instruction into practice (2K balls maybe), and 3. continued study of all science and BM videos on this site so that first fix can be extended to incorporate all the principles that Brian talks about.

Fair enough. If you aren't a visual learner or don't feel like watching these videos helps your game or enlightens you on an idea, then you don't have to partake in viewing and/or talking about the footage. However, there are others who benefit and that is why a ban is silly.

Just like TV. If you dont like whats on, change the channel. Those who dont like swing sequences, dont put snide remarks in the thread and make other people who like swing sequences feel stupid.

Udaman BManz ....

I agree that trying to copy another golfers golf swing had limited usefulness.

But studying them is VERY useful.

Sorry SteveT.

I agree, you're right, Brian ... but only if those studying the tour pro's golfswing are qualified to pass judgment on it.

Unqualified amateurish commentary is ... dubious, and it just becomes a gossipfest about stuff that is misleading. Pretty soon everybody is arguing about 'methods' by obsoleted teachers.

If you are to take a professionally scientific approach to the golfswing with Project 1.68, I suggest you consider upgrading your fine forum so that contributors like mandrin, me, other worthy types are discussing facts and not kiddy fantasy.

Surely you must agree with me .. to some extent ...?!

What's stopping you "worthy types" from discussing facts, i mean we have to wade through your b.s. you can at least return the favor, Stevie boy...lol.

I am sorry if I missed it, but what exactly are your credentials that qualify you to have more meaningful input on golf swings?
