LI School

I was one of the fortunate souls who had the opportunity (and privilege) to attend the 2-day school with Brian and Mike this past weekend. I'm trying to get caught up with my day job so I don't have much time now for a post but will try to add to this later.

There is a selfish inner voice telling me that I shouldn't post ANYTHING because if Brian and Mike do the school again next year I will want to attend again and I don't want to get trampled by the stampede of other golfers trying to get into the school as well.

With a 2:1 student-to-teacher ratio, we had tons of face time. These guys have a great eyes and the ability to teach a stroke pattern that fits each individual's tendencies. The price for the school would have been considered reasonable even if there were only one instructor. Getting two nationally recognized GSEDs was almost too good to be true.

Many thanks to Brian and Mike for a weekend I won't ever forget.

Great week, best ever!!! Not too often 2 instructors who have never taught together before mesh like they teach together for a living. Normally when I do a school with another instructor there are sometimes when I feel like I might be seeing a different direction for a student than the other teacher... This is the first ever joint school I have ever done where I meshed 100% on every small detail with the other instructor. We come from the same teacher Ben Doyle, the same system

Great Week!

I have been meaning to post about my great weekend. It was such a pleasure to learn about the golf stroke from two of the most knowledgeable teachers on the planet.

I know I was a big challange for Brian because I am a slow learner, and I was not able to instantly do everything he was trying to get me to do. But I left knowing what I need to do because Brian and Michael made sure I understood. I will train every single day, but now I only have a few things that I have to focus on thanks to my two new teachers.

Michael must have asked me at least a dozen times over the two days 'Do you understand ?'....and I really did because the message was consistent. Both Brian and Mike were showing me the same geometry. Plus my study of the old 'yellow book' is a very good thing to have in my back pocket. It is like a foundation of knowledge that I will continue to use to build a sound golf swing. Brian and Mike were always on the same page. Plus they probably have two sets of the sharpest 'golf eyes' around with the ability to pick out any wobbly point in any given swing.

Thanks for the great weekend. Tons of knowledge and even more fun.

:)
