Utter Disappointment

I found this site about 2 months ago and have been completely addicted ever since. I saw a reference to a "VIP summit" in the DC area (where I live) in a post a few weeks back....and now I am crestfallen to find out that it's taking place while I am out of town in California. :(

Lake Presidential is supposed to be a nice track - and having all those great instructors could only make it better.

Enjoy - I'm one jealous BPS swinger.

Damon, Brian,
I am to finalize my travel plans (yes, I am excited), and was hoping for hotel suggestions. Let me know what you think.

For those that are going-

When are you guys flying in? Also, who's renting a car. I'd love to be able to rent a car but since I'm not 25 yet (only 24) I get dinged with a decent sized fee even with my corporate discount. So if I can fly in around the same time as someone else and we split the cost of renting a car, that would be great. I'd also be interested in splitting a hotel room. Anyone that is able to help me out can PM me. Thanks.

Maybe the Manzella Academy people could send out a group email so people could coordinate car rentals, etc, offline? I will be renting a car, but I may fly in a day early to see friends who live in the area.

Hotel Info

EXECUTIVE INN & SUITES,2901 CRAIN HWY,MD, UPPER MARLBORO

This place is basically right on top of the golf course. I believe this is the closest hotel to Lake Presidential.

I believe there's a Holiday Inn Express off of 50 - maybe 15-20 mins away from Lake Presidential. It's the one off of Riva Rd:

Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites ANNAPOLIS Hotels | ANNAPOLIS | Welcome

Homestead Suites (off of Admiral Cochran):

Extended Stay, Corporate Relocation and Long Term Hotels - Homestead Studio Suites Hotels

*****************

Should be a bunch of other hotels in, or near, Annapolis. Since the lessons are on Saturday-Sunday, I don't think traffic will be bad on Rte 50. We are fairly close to the Bay Bridge which can get backed up during rush hour (especially on Friday - Beach Traffic). But during the weekend, this isn't a problem.

The course is very easy to find - take Rte 50 to Exit 13A, go South on Crain Highway for 8 miles and the entrance to the community is on the right (Beechtree Pkwy I think). Drive in and go down about a mile or so, make a left on Presidential Golf Dr - entrance to the course is on the right.

Any more questions, feel free to contact me or Damon Lucas since we both live in the area. Brian already said he'd send out some information shortly.

The Executive Inn is walking distance to the course....we will coordinate cars(if needed!) and pick ups from the airport, and hotels, etc.

Brian,

I might be in the D.C. area those days..I'll be doing some "working", but I might be able to get it in...any spots left?

If people want to fly in Sat morning, I could coordinate pick ups from the airport with the 'trouble and strife' and myself, take people to the course, where they could lunch, practise, check in to hotel, etc.

What Airport would be best to fly into?

Don't fly into Regan if you can only get to MD/DC at 3 or 4 pm. The traffic can be a bear.

If you arrive late Friday, or around lunch you'll be OK.

Coming down from BWI on Friday shouldn't be too bad.
