Wow!! That's far, I know of a few holes at different courses (that aren't links courses) where I could use that shot.
Which # iron did you use?

I just figured that out because you said it in the video, but I missed it even though I had watched it twice already. 3rd time was the charm I guess.

That's sort of a "heavy hit" shot, correct? And kind of like a TW stinger shot with irons instead of a 3-wood.

My hunch is that if you don't make a very good pivot on that shot, the ball goes off to the right?

I always love your vids, I think this golf.com stuff is working out really well for me and hopefully for you too :)

In Phil Michelson's interview today, he said he didn't start playing well at the Open until he learned to hit a low shot with little spin so it would get on the ground sooner and run farther. He said his old shot would be low, but spin a lot and just hover for the wind to affect it.

What do you do different to hit a low shot with low spin?

Interesting, I wonder how many years ago he figured that out.

As for me, I've devoted my golfing life to; pivot, staying centered, twistaway, path/handpath, very slight forward lean of the shaft, and no tension so my left arm folds (no chicken wing). Mostly in this order but not necessarily.

Hey Baz, I grew up on links courses and a lot of what you say is true. But a true master hits down on it while hitting up on it.;)

Just watched the 2nd video about Mickelson's shot. That's kinda like hitting down while hitting up. Nice.

This is what Brian talks about the "inward and upward" force part of the downswing in relation to pulling the hula-hoop out of the ground. It FEELS LIKE you are hitting up with an iron because if you didn't you'd stick it in the ground.
