Not sure I follow. Are you saying I need to have a degree from one of the 12 to be a legit fan?

I was born in KY, grew up in FL, graduated in GA, my pops and I played at two different SEC schools, degreed in AL, and inlaws are all from TN. And I reserve the right to take shots at the Big 10, how much more SEC could I be? :)

So, since you can pick any school you want out of the SEC, where do your allegiances rest? Wait! Let me guess, you also have a cousin that lives in Texas, so you're a Texas A&M fan. Should have known.

I'm Kentucky every day in every sport, but that does't keep me from wanting the rest of the conference to look it's best. It's the SEC against everyone else. You might not like all your relatives, but they're still part of the family. Every Saturday I pull for 12 teams. When they play against each other, I pull for UK and the other 5 who've got the best chance to look good in the nat'l picture.

Tonight I'm pulling for overtimes and then a rematch game (although highly unlikely).

Texas A&M and #14 are going to be tough pills to swallow.

Do you not pull for the other Big 10ers to look good when OSU is down or out of the mix?

I absolutely pull for all Big 10 teams out of conference.

Funny, both my father and I played football at UK. While he graduated, I transferred after my freshman year to OSU due to coach Claiborne's retirement. So, I have a deep understanding and empathy for those in Commonwealth stadium each Saturday. I will always "fight, fight, fight for the blue and white" against anyone outside of the Big 10.

I also now understand your SEC attachment in conference terms. It's kind of like being invited to the "big party" because of your big brother.

Whatever, I take great pride in OSU and will always stand up for our conference.

Like I said....

If we win or tie the turnover battle, and have no funny calls by the refs we win.

Ya'll should start listening.....

Now that's funny, our pops might have played played on the same team. Did your dad wear a leather helmet too?:)

All the offending posts have been removed. My governor doesn't work like it should sometimes.

BTW, I've always been an LSU fan.

A win's a win, but really...... what a dud of a game!! Looked like a couple of high school teams playing each other. 9 to 6?????!!!!

Borrrriing!!!!

The shots of Alabama folks crying after the game were priceless. Seriously, you don't play or prepare for the opponent, you simply show up to watch a game and you effing cry? Then I remembered McCarron's tattoo....and it all made sense.

It is Alabama after all...

And to think Bama fans made fun of Tebow for crying after the SEC Champ game. I guess we don't understand the effort that goes into "Rammer Jammer."

Uh....no. There is a champion after every game. It's about bragging rights, recruiting and school pride in an institution you're invested in. When I put on my "Block O" from a place I spent the most influential 4 years of my life it means a hell of a lot.

OK, I suppose. Fair enough.

No problem. Just a little frustration being vented.

Congrats to LSU. They hung in there like a rusty nail - like championship teams are supposed to do.

It was a great game. Both teams are incredible. Fun to watch athletes like that go at it. My brother went to the game. He said the Alabama fans he sat next to were nothing but nice and fun. Good sec showdown.
