brian can you breakdown bruce"s components ive always been amazed at how constistent he struck the ball with virtually no practice on his swing and playing as much as a weekend golfer. ive got some stats to show how good he was from 1982 to 1992 he averaged a rank of 8th in overall driving with 3 first place ranks and his worst year being 24th. he also averaged 9.7 rank in greens in regulation with 3 times leading the stat and his worst year 25th. his total ballstriking for those years is an amazing average of 5.3 rank leading the stat 3 imes his worst year being 15th in that stat. i looked up guys like faldo nick price norman mac ogrady and they didnt come close. to bad in that same period he averaged 155th in putts per round and 152nd in sand saves. shouldve practiced that short game a little.

Brian: How do you account for Lietzke's freakish ability to just turn up and play top level golf without practicing much before hand? Thanks.

I hit it about the same with almost NO practice.

If your CONCEPT is sound, practice has little to do with ball striking.

The short game is more dependent on practice.

When you say Concept, I presume you mean having the technical knowledge that allows you to execute a correct swing?
