Bubba Watson

Has anyone seen much video of Bubba Watson. Golf Magazine had an article on him this month. I had never heard of him and had no idea how long the guy was. What was particularly interesting to me was the amount of right wrist bend(aka Hogan esque) maybe even more.

However, beautifully flat at impact....

Anyone have thoughts on the guy.

What's beautiful about a flat right wrist at impact[?]

Yes the picture made him appear to be left handed. Whichever his lead hand was flat despite the amount of bend at the top.

Bubba Watson just played down here in Austalia for a few Tournaments.
He ran second in the Aussie Masters beaten in a play off by Robert Allenby. They obviously showed a lot of him on TV.
He hits it a mile, but the swing is all over the place.
Long and loose. It seemed to me ( as he is left handed ) that his left shoulder gets way off plane in the downstroke causing throw away under pressure. Playing the 71st hole leading by one he flat out shanked his 6 Iron into the green. It was a shocker. But the guy can golf his ball. He is self taught and if someone ( with knowledge ) could get a hold of him I think you could hear a bit about him in the States.
And Hi to Bobby Schaeffer I will hopefully see you early next year in Melbourne.

I could see how he could lose lag. His swing is extremely long, it would be difficult for me to maintain that long. I believe he played at the University of Georgia and couldn't even make the top five on his team his Sr. Year.

You are correct, he is self taught, maybe Bobby Schaeffer or Brian Manzella need to get a hold of him...
