Anybody looking to get rid of their Casio fh20, fh25 or similar high speed video camera? Checked with amazon but $475 seems pricey compared to what I remember them going for 1 year ago.

Cheers

You can still get the fh-100 for a little over $200. It is discontinued as well but there are still some new ones floating around. I heard a rumor that casio is updating their current models to make them more like the fh lines. I don't think they realized they were the camera of choice for analyzing the golf swing when they released their current line.

any disadvantages to the 100? Looks much more portable. same size lcd display.... any reason to get a 20 over the 100?

I'm planning to get an FH100 before they run out. I've studied it enough to know it will fit my needs.

That said, the larger lens on the FH20 would offer some better optics (focal length, depth of field for the different optics, zoom etc) but that's not necessarily a "disadvantage" of the FH100.

I haven't studied the FH20 as much to know it's real pros and cons, but if you really want the giganto camera then that's certainly a candidate in the big camera game.

Did you check this thread out which lists a lot of the specs of those cameras?

I have the FC100,FH25 and FH100. the FH100 has the backlit sensor and fits in the pocket of my bag so it does all the good stuff without the bulk.

On a related note does everyone just use the "Best Shot" mode at 420 fps for most swings or something else? Any tips on settings I can mess around with? I have the FH25.

i find that if you want to view on a computer screen or larger the 240 setting works very clear and crisp and faster degrades the image
