Quote:Brian Manzella. Folks, you only think the show was entertaining.

Isn't that the idea, It's not about actually fixing Barkley's swing, it's about trying to fix it and all the side stuff that comes with it and hopefully that stuff is funny and entertaining.

Barkley's swing is just the catalyst for that, if it get's fixed along the way great, if not so what, ratings baby, ratings. Some show's work others don't, but the whole idea is entertainment and i think it fits the bill, all the talk about the show in the media alone makes it a success.

I maintain that if I would have been the teacher in the MANZELLA PROJECT, and I fixed Sir Chuck better than the Haney non-fix, it would have had three times the viewers.

Why?

I am 100 tome more interesting that Haney, and at the end of "What Not To Wear," everyone looks better.

Let's examine the facts:
1. Charles Barkley was a world-class professional athlete
2. He has better than average intelligence, learning ability and ability to understand new things.
3. He has better than average hand/eye coordination.
4. Was once a single-digit handicap with a decent swing
5. There is visual evidence on YouTube of him making athletic-looking golf swings.

Let's face it, HE'S FAKING IT!!!!!!

The majority watched it not because of Haney. You have to know who or what the real star is.

You ever seen me in person work a crowd, or a room?

Just asking.

I was talking about Haney,i meant you wouldn't have much competition from Haney. The two examples of paint drying and painter painting was aimed at Haney, not you. i would not say your not entertaining.

I wish i could see you in person, teaching. Maybe one day but for now the net will have to do.

I don't know. The more I think about it.......this sounds like a must watch. I think I might have to look up the producers at the GC.

Coordination and being a world class athlete has nothing to do with whether or not a golfer or any other athlete has the yips.

I saw Steve Sax and Chuck Noblauch, two All-Star 2nd basemen, suddenly lose the ability to throw from 2nd to first all of the sudden, something that they practiced their entire lives.

Plus, unless there is something I do not know about I cannot see any reason why Charles would fake it to the point that each of his friends, strangers, etc that play golf with him see him yip the swing.

I still think it would be a much tougher endeavor to rid him of the yip than we imagine, even if he were to work with Brian. But, I think Brian gives him a helluva better shot at curing that than Haney.

I highly doubt he's faking it but I think Charles is savvy enough to at least make some money or publicity out of it.He aint shootin hoops anymore although he probably doesn't need the money but who ever has enough of the green stuff?

Apparently some of you need visual proof. Sir Charles states on The Haney Progect that no one has ever been able to fix him. So along comes Hank Haney to the rescue. It's a good story, isn't it?

That video shows that Charles can hit it without the hitch on the range. He was even able to do that with Haney. But when it got out on the course, the yips reared its ugly head again. Even more, Charles doesn't yip *every* swing in tournaments. And I like Dunigan much more than Haney, but the yip still remains.

I know Brian and others could greatly improve Charles' swing and make a much bigger stride in getting rid of his yips, but I think this will be harder to eliminate than anybody could probably imagine. Tough for the brain to get over the thought of hurting people when you swing.

Now come on,that's during a lesson with prompts from the coach.I have seen videos where Charles made perfect swings after his stint with Haney.Did they extend to competitve rounds?

Ian Baker Finch after his game disintegrated, played great in practice rounds but said he felt like an 18 handicapper standing on the tee not knowing where the ball is going to go during competitive rounds.Mental problems are very hard to overcome permanently.

Is that the problem?I would have thought the crowds would scatter now or be extra alert when its Charles turn to hit off the tee.
