Chikara wedges

Thanks guys. I have more questions for them: I'm a digger (down down masher) does the kind of lie you most often face matter more than your style of impact (slider, digger, driver, etc.)?

Just be careful, i'm pretty sure the PDG grind is for sweepers. Here is what Ari mailed to me

"John,

If you are a Sweeper the PDG grind is definitely your best bet of all of our JLM wedges. If you want to get into the Tour Department grinds there are a few other options based on what different kinds of shots you want to play. "

I really can't stress strongly enough about emailing him, he's not pushy etc and will fit you right into the correct wedge. Totally pressure free advice even if not buying.

I just emailed him again. I'm still unsure about my swing style because it changes from shot to shot. I'm looking for a finesse wedge to play shots from within 100 yards. Inside of 100yds, I sweep or dig based on the needed shot.

Matter of fact, my most common scramble shot is a short pitch or chip to make an easy tap in par.

Maybe is also worthy to check Wishon wedges - they have now many bounce and sole width option plus they have 0* bounce at the heel so you can open them and have leading edge close to the ground. They also should have plenty of spin.

Ah ok, he will sort you out for sure. Let me be honest, and this wil reak of BS. I bought a Scratch 53* factory bent to 50* as i have a big gap in the bag there. Obviously a bit of bounce was lost, but Ari said this was ok for my sweeping. Well the hole i had in mind when i got it i have now birdied i reckon 7 of the last 10 times i have played it. This from a 13 capper. Obviously this will dry up fast, but the fact is these wedges have superb feel for distance and are VERY user friendly. It has a black gold shaft too which i'd never used prior. Great sticks and i just know when you get the right grind your wedge finessing from inside 100 yards will have never been better.

I hate buying golf clubs online! ARGH! I wanna touch it, feel it, swing it, and see how it sets up at addy.
Aren't Wishon's cast?

Impetously, Impatiently, and Impulsively (alliteration) I purchased a Cleveland CG12 DSG RTG with 4* bounce. I'm 90% happy with it, and have been able to execute several shots that have eluded me.

All's well that ends well. Regarding your previous question on tour dep. wedges, just saw this post from Ari March 12

"We are looking at 6-8 weeks plus shipping right now on all Tour Department Custom clubs depending on if we have the shaft and grip in stock and how long it takes to get finished."
