I'm not sure how to take this John..What if Kevin is a player and not a teacher first?? Is this a dis on Kev?? IMO, it is hard to be a great teacher and a great player..I only know one person that is great at both, not a golf instructor...anyhoo...Congrats Kev, follow your heart, go for it! Balls to the wall!!

Certainly not a dis on Kev. If anything, it's a dis on me because I don't put the time in to play competitive golf anymore. Anyone with a family like Kev that can accomplish what he does on the lesson tee and the golf course is a rare talent indeed.

Good stuff Kevin.

I have been playing, traveling and learning with Kevin for over 10 years now. Many of the folks in the forum may not know this, but this will not be his "first rodeo". He has played in PGA Tour events, nationwide events and has been a dominant force in one of the best club professional sections in the United States. While his dedication has been focused to learning and teaching others to become better golfers in recent years, I can assure you that he is capabale of competing at the highest of levels. I also realize that this can be said for a great number club professionals and teachers. Reaching the tour does have a bit of "playing the lottery" feel to it. Many players, while having the skill, sometimes just don't have everything (money, time) lined up to get there. So, i am thrilled when one of these players gets the opportunity to do what they do best against great competition. Go get 'em Kevin and show them what West Penn golf is all about!
