While walking the Wednesday pro am at Rviera with one of our players I noticed this plaque. I hope you enjoy this photo....I think it is very cool............

238 yard par3, as I recall. Hogan had called it the greatest par3 in the world, prior to that commercial, again as I recall. Great teebox to hang out at.

I think there is a commercial where he is wearing a yellow sweater, couldn't find it though.
 
I played Riviera quite often in the late nineties. I still had persimmon in the bag, but I had to hit driver or three wood to get over the bunkers and land on the green.

Yesterday Phil hit 5 iron....ouch!
 
Reminds me of a woman pro who played once at St Georges in Toronto (a classic). Members often tell you she said it was the finest course she had ever played. What they don't tell you is that she shot the course record.

I too have noticed an inverse relationship between my score and my assessment of a course's greatness.
