If the idiom "having the upper hand" means better tee-to-green game -- yes, I do. No contest, especially against someone like Woods. If it means "winning over each other" -- no, since it would depend on the course and conditions.


Well, let's just say the four majors. Who wins the most of those events, under all the course condition possibilities.

Do you think Hogan would dominate those two guys? I think Nicklaus and Woods would beat Hogan up. Bad! :)

We can just theoretize:
- Masters -- I think Nicklaus and Woods would win over Hogan;
- The Open -- I think the chances are pretty similar for all three;
- US Open -- I think Hogan would win over them;
- PGA Tour -- I think the chances are pretty similar for all three.

Generally, the tougher the course is (from tee-to-green) the chances that Hogan wins increase.

No, I don't think he would dominate them (apart from mental domination -- he would have intimidated them). I think they would be jealous of his consistency and play management wisdom.
