Tiger, stop it PLEASE!!!!

I watched several swings from the US OPen on TiVo and wow....

That's no way to swing a club.

He was better in 2000, but ONLY because of two things:

1. He didn't try to hit every shot 100%

2. He still had enough of his 1997 swing to "work against" the Harmon feel.

For the 100th time, he needs to:

1. Slightly stronger grip

2. More in hand path going back.

3. Vanilla Hunter Mahan/ Jack Nicklaus style finish

Yeah..I get it for the 100th time stuff... I didn't watch the slow motion stuff, but on SOME swings I see a VERY good swing right NOW. I agree..I only see the really good one when he doesn't try to "Sammy Sosa Steroid Jerk it out of the ball park type hack swing", but at times...the swing is pretty darn good, especially when he's trying to hit it straight, or trying to turn one over. I think he gets his hands in more when trying to do that, and that=less laid off=better swing. So, yeah....you're right...:)

"More in hand path.." please explain thanks

His hands need to move more towards his right pocket and less towards his right toe during his takeaway....

How good do you think he could have become if he had kept the 97 swing but swung at say 80% instead of flat out all the time?

IMO no where near as good - it's easy to knock his swing now but i think people forget just how bad Tiger's distance control was in those days. He used to fly greens regularly, especially with the shorter clubs. There were very good reasons for why Tiger wanted to change that swing imo.
