Defining Tiger's release

Here's a really good face on view of Tiger hitting driver.

All this talk lately about centrifugal force, throw out action and horizontal hinging, etc. are making me a little crazy and I thought we could use an example.

Here are the questions to ask yourself:

1) At what point (specified in seconds in the clip) does Tiger begin turning the club off plane?

2) Does the point at which Tiger turns the club off plane mean that throw out action is beginning?

3) If #1 and #2 do not occur at the same point in time is anything other than a snap release producing clubhead throw away? Maybe not in the sense you are thinking, but just more potential for throw away than a snap release I should say.

My answers:

1) 32 seconds
2) NO!
3) I'd say yes the potential for throw away is greater. But the likelihood of lagging the hosel increases.
