detremine correct shaft flex

Somewhere I heard that all but the strongest golfers should swing a regular flex shaft. What do you think?

I have stiff shafts in every club right now.
My irons are Hogan Edge Pro. I strike the ball fairly well (7 hdcp)
but I sometimes think i would make crisper contact with more flex.
My 150 club is an average 8 iron. I guess close would be a start.
