drag takeaway help

I have decided that this is how I;m goin to swing this year, being an avid practicer it usually doesn't take me that long to catch on. With this takeaway I don't cast it and hit it considerably farther. It does feel a little handsy in the transition, my feeling is more right hand drag back at the start and once I get close to the top feel the left hand down cock and fire. A couple of questions, should the body stay steadier during the takeaway or should it move with the club, should the club go straight back or slightly inside , and during the transititon what would be the right feeling to start the downswing, this is a very good way to play hope I can get use to it, TIM

Drag load is great. It makes you less jerky and handsy. It lets the big muscles work. Hip to hip.
Take a club and put the grip end in your arm pit hold down the shaft with your left arm take your stance and make your backswing. It should feel more like that........

Put a 2-by-4 behind the ball about two feet, 90 degreees to the target line.

Drag the club over it in the backswing, trailing edge first.

MAKE SURE YOUR MIND IS IN YOUR HANDS AND NOT THE CLUBHEAD!!!

At the top, you should feel like you have NO WRIST COCK (you will, don't worry).

DOWNCOCK by way of your pivot cxhanging direction and miss the board (easily) on thw downswing.

Sat hello to Bobby Jones and Harry Vardon while you're at it.

Bobby Jones? Harry Vardon? What?

I think he's referring to their takeaways. You can really see the club being dragged back when they initiate their golfswings; it looks like the clubhead is being "left behind" at the start of the swing.
