Drill Question

Steve T,

This drill helps me hit the ball pretty straight. If I want to hit a draw, I aim everything right of the target and close the face at address a few degrees and vice versa for the fade. As a chronic under-planer, I'm constantly trying to swing more to the left, even for a draw.

Can an open stance impede efforts to swing left? I have a workable deal going at the moment. Following Brian's line of thinking I am trying to change as little as possible. I have an underplane hitting out to right field thing going on. I have learned to aim far enough left to hit it pretty straight.

It occurred to me that many players by standing pretty well squared away are in actual fact closed to the resultant path and have therefore can cultivate the feeling of "crossing" their left leg. If you have an open stance it is more difficult to feel the hand path swinging left. Can anyone else relate to this?
