I finally hit my 5 iron 200 yard with the softdraw pattern. I'm looking forward to the softfade pattern. I think I created alot more speed with Brian's swinging across my chest and throwing the drunk off. Relearning pivot, and backswing is the best thing that happened to me.

Happy new year guys. and thanks to Brian and all the members who helped me on this golf forum.

congrats, post your swing and teach us something :)

PS How was the trajectory??

It's higher than my normal shot, but it just kept going and going and going.
I did two things today. I look at Brian's building block video at work with no sound LOL. So i skip through alot and see what he was doing and he showed how to line up probably at address. I always have slightly closed clubface at address , so I opened up alil so the groove line would face perpendicular to the target line. Bam, no more crazy low draws. I also read somewhere in this forum that (i think it was jim) he kept his shoulder back facing the target longer and just pull as hard as he can with his left side a.ka. swinging across the chest I would think. On the camera it really showed that my club was dropping in the right slot and I just clear as hard as I could with my lowerbody while feeling my chest is still facing away from the target. (again feeling and actual swing is not the same) I also bend over correctly, instead of looking like sitting in a toilet seat. If i start to feel like I'm thinining the ball, I make sure i'm bend down correctly and my club goes to the left aka yellow brick road I believe? It was fun, and you can just hear how pure that ball was being hit.

jen:
can you explain the counter fall? i did a search and can't find it.

it's in Brian's Softdraw pattern.

You need to imagine there is a wall on your leftside, you need to sort of drift yourself with your left leg (squatting). Touch the wall and then you can swing. I think I'm not very good at explaining this...try to look up for squatting.

Congrats Jen!

Ability to hit BOTH the soft draw and fade with power and accuracy and predictable and manageable misses...................

The Holy Grail Of Ballstriking.

Throw in trajectory control and you have a Ruby Encrusted Grail.

Large curves (starting point: see each far side of The Matrix) for XTreme Situations.

(you will not be in many if you are a Grail Holder though)

BTW more counterfall (step on left foot) I think will be one thing that will lead the way for me coming up.

"The New Era."
