Flat Left Wrist.......closed clubface?

I have very recently flattened my left wrist and it feels like the clubface is closed because of it. Which is not really helping my lifelong tendency to hit hooks and blocks. My grip is pretty standard, and I don't know how many compensations I'm looking to make in my swing. Below is a video of my swing from a month ago with a bent left wrist, I'm pretty sure I'm making the same swing now but with a flw. What should I do?

weaken your grip if you are hooking. and check ball position and alignment: ball back far enough? That front on view showed a pretty far forward positioin, and the dtl view seemed to show an aim left OF dtl.

Shoulders were a bit closed to the camera, - maybe not to your target.

Grip Check.

Personally, I like your swing.

Ball position and shoulders at address are fine.

You grip is not wrong, but maybe could be a little better.

Anyway to take a close-up of you taking your grip and showing me exactly where everything is?

Brian,
Aren't "hooks and blocks" mentioned at the same time simply a function of the rolling of the left arm through impact?.. i.e. roll too much and you'll get the hook, don't roll enough (or inadverdently allow the left arm to get away from the body) and you'll get the block?....

An upright shoulder turn and an incorrect pivot can cause the same misses. IMO.

For starters, change the name of your handle. Golf is a mind game, you'll be better if you stop belittling yourself even if it is semijestful.

Advice not to be taken lightly.

I told myself for about half a season that I was the best putter I know (when I wasn't)...I think it may be true now.

Haha, ok, forum administrators, please change my name to Mr. Consistent.

Brian, does that grip look square enough?

If you think it's a joke or trivial, you couldn't be more wrong. It's hard to have a good golf swing (which you have). But it's 100xs harder to have a great one. And the difference is attention to details, most of which are more important than the average person realizes.

Great golf swings start from within the heart and the will to win or to succeed irregardless of the price one must pay. If you're willing to pay the price, start with getting rid of negativity. It can't possibly help you.

LOL.

Still, you're right, Puttmad! Can't imagine a pro doing well thinking he has an inconsistent stroke just before pulling the trigger.

I don't think it's trivial, but I do admit to finding humor there.
