Forearm pick-up - too far inside?

One of my most prominent swing faults was taking the club too far, too quickly inside at the takeaway...I have worked that out of being a fault...that was really a defining moment in my progress...now, I've been working on the "right forearm pick-up" as discussed here and it is kicking in....my question: if I do the pick-up purely, there is no way I can take that club back inside?....you see, I worked hard to eliminate that fault and I don't want it creeping back in...watching Weir and Kuehne, that's how I want to be.....I'd like to be reassured that i cannot get that fault from the pick-up..

Thank you....I must be doing that..it's working...I'm going to assume that it is what it is - literally, a pick-up, or lift of the forearm...

You HAVE to "leave" your chest at the ball...

Brian - can you elaborate a bit? I assume you should feel that hands and arms pull the shoulders and chest, thereby avoiding an early shoulder turn. Is that correct?
