Favorite Manzella-isms...

Didn't read thread, so no bias here, but clearly personal to my game and how you've helped me be a better teacher.

1. Twistaway
2. Up the Wall Down the Wall, Follow the ....
3. Step on the right, step on the left
4. Carry
5. Fall onto the left foot
6. While not a "tip" - understanding Jorgenson's D-plane
7. "Tap, Tap, Forward Press..."
8. Towel Plane Board
9. Shake the Sugar
10. Throw the drunk off your back!

That's off the top...

Twistaway and full roll...for beginning AND good players. Emphasis on more use than just beginners.

It's true..."You will not hook it off the earth doing twistaway and full roll together"...

NSA>>> the most underrated video of all time.

"Golf swings are more like gardens than buildings."

Loose (shoulders), lct, load the angles- as a "combo"...

Swing left of your left hip...

LOOK AT HOF GOLFERS' SWINGS...

Neutral should be NEUTRAL. (vertical) That is to say, it is logical.

Right shoulder path...

"Sharp" (good word) turn of right hip...right knee that's allowed to straighten...

Diagnosis: What is the ball doing...what is the club doing...what is the body doing...

Fix: What needs to be done.

I am not as into drills as I am into "moves" that you would make just playing...

Axis tilt/openness relationship. "Manzella Rule."

Forward shaft lean w minimum down!

Under/over/BEHIND the sweetspot/shaft.

Not maintaining/trying to maintain spinal angle is an absolute must for attracting new members, because it contradicts one of the most commonly believed fallacies amongst the hobby golfers out there WORLDWIDE.

I would say that videos that are about 3-5 minutes long would be ideal, and rather 3 than 5.

Forces on the shaft

Anything that can be used universally in swings regardless of method

Without a doubt "dig to china, back extension".
this has changed my golfing life and simplified the game for me in ways I can't even put to words!
thanks so much!

and of course explaining the D plane to me

What is this one Ric?

here

I HATE the term.

Why?

Because it is just NOT that far left—railroad tracks in the distance.

Now, the REASON "parallel left" worked for MANY good players?

The D-Plane.

here is what i learned abt the D-PLANE.............................GO AHEAD "TEACHER" ERASE THIS LIKE U DO MY OTHERS

unless it is BOARDED.....IT IS WORTHLESS

The D-Plane.

It allowed them to aim enough left so the resultant path was zeroed out.

Poor players just chicken wing it back to the target.

OK...so scrap parallel left. So it is just a matter of adjusting the resultant path appropriately to the left? And if you feel like it you can have your stance line parallel to the rotated resultant path? Are you generally in favor of standing square to the true path? I feel more comfortable standing a bit closed to the true path as long as I know where it is.

PS Good editing!
