Good job Bill.

I really would like to say something nasty to all you southern boys --

13 to 16 inches of more snow with 50 mph winds.

That will put us over the 90 inch mark for the year.
We might see fairways here again by July.

Please play an extra round for me!

AhhhHHHhhhHHhhhh!...

I really really hope we get nothing like that at this time of year...

The thought that people are playing golf right now (we are -30C) makes me want to move...

And I thought it was bad in Central Ohio. Your situation reminds me of the time I lived in Vail, CO. An EARLY golf season started the last weekend in May, normal was mid-June.

I am hitting most shots with a lot of confidence. I >am< struggling with the driver. I am about 50/50 with it. 50% nice, predictable, playable drives and 50% praying they can be found or are not OB. Snap hooks happen more than I like.

Other than the driver, I have a lot more confidence with all clubs....including fw woods, long irons, mid irons, short irons and wedges.

Bill, I'm kinda going through a similar experience. I'm not 13 strokes better but I shaved 5 this weekend. Congrats on your improvements.

My main reason for writing is that I too am having a problem with the driver. I'm a little worse than 50/50 with the big stick. This weekend I went down to my 2 iron (not really a 2 iron but a Mizuno MP 2 hybrid) and used it off the tee. Feels and looks just like an iron. Piped it straight down the fairway for 230yd tee shots. Wasn't the 250-270yd drive that I get 1-5 tee boxes but it was VERY consistent and always in the fairway. Maybe if you have a hybrid or some long irons you could use them off the tee. Maybe get 2-3 more strokes...
