Geometric Reasons for Manzella Neutral Grip

Sorry for those who are sick of hearing it, but I just have to say this:

Whether you get a geometrically flat or visually flat left wrist depends on how strong your left hand grip is (the weaker it is, the more you get the visually flat or even slightly arched look). It really has no relation to where the left thumb is placed.

Absolutely Leo....BUT!

I STILL THINK you can and SHOULD have your thumb somewhat "behind the hit," even with the weaker left hand positions.
 
Great, I think we have finally come to a conclusion.

Just to make this absolutely clear, when Brian says thumb is "behind the hit", he means "near the aft / in-line with pp#1 and pp#3 / supporting the on plane thrust".
