Golf law cases?

I'm going to write a paper this weekend for my Business Law class. Thought about using golf as a subject. Anyone heard of any cases recently that had anything to do with golf? Like maybe between a player and their sponsor or something? Breach of contract? Thanks

If a golfer hits another golfer, on or off the course, or a car in the lot or on the highway, they are libel.

I believe Callaway sued Titleist last year regarding ball patent infringement. (I would imagine patent suits are pretty common in the industry). The old "square grooves" suit with Ping and the USGA was a good one.

As far as breach of contracts related to sponsors.... I would imagine Daly has been involved in his fair share. I just don't know how many ended up in litigation.

I think this is your best shot at arguing a paper because there is enough there to argue either case and should fairly easy to write well plus be an interesting topic due to the handicap

How about the guy who owns a house on the 6th hole of Winged Foot, getting pelted with balls, broken windows, etc. Went to court and now #6 is shut down!
