Here is my swing. I will hit a hook when things go bad. Just curious what people see and would recommend (especially BMANZ! ;))

Not the best quality, sorry! But I think you'll be able to get a general idea of the motion and pattern

First off, great action. Very professional. I'd recommend maybe working on the short stuff and not worrying about the swing too much. I'm not sure exactly why you'd hit a hook, you get into a great position when the club is parallel the last time before impact.

You stay pretty centered, which is why I find it somewhat odd that your miss is a hook. I (perhaps mistakenly) associate minimal axis tilt with a fade.

You play the ball pretty far forward, which in my experience could cause some snappers, but I don't think your ball position is directly causing the hook. Someone who knows more will chime in, great swing dude.

Thanks for the kind words...

That video is not to old but I think my swing may be different in the sense that I may lean a bit more to the right on the backswing. I am not to sure, but I think I have heard Brian say the type of backswing I'm making more now is reverse hips. Correct me if I am wrong.

My hips may go a bit left on backswing and upper body leans a bit to far right.

Thanks

Bump your hip to the right in the backswing and pivot around your left leg a bit more in the thru swing intead of the slide.

I'd kind of watch the right foot. You're a bit up on the toes of the right foot which tends to stall the pivot of the hips and force them to slide instead. I like Hogan's action a lot in this regard. He raises the right heel up off the ground before impact, but it has been 'pulled' up off the ground due to the momentum of the swing instead of 'lifted' off the ground by getting the weight up on the toes. Furthermore, if you look at his right foot, the pressure is pretty much on the side of the ball of the foot, not up on the toes.

You might need to change where the weight is in the foot at address.

Other than, I like this swing a ton.

@ KShields...

Thanks, I was thinking something a long those lines as well. Appreciate you taking the time to look at the video.

@ 3Jack...

That has been one thing I have never liked in my swing. That look of my right leg driving so hard and getting way up on the right toe. I do not know why I do it. Any suggestions on how to get rid of it? Or why I do it? OR if I even need to try to rid it.

Thanks All, appreciate the help!

Maybe there should be a seperate section for swings to be sent to Brian who for a fee can give a full analysis. We can't expect Brian to make more than a few general comments on swings when he is not getting a dime for it. Just take a look at what the so called name instructors charge to analyse golf swings on the V1 internet Academy. I have submitted my swings on there many times and normally will pay 30 dollors max for about a 4-10 minute analysis of my swing. Not for me to suggest how much Brian charges but if you want an audio review of your swing expect to pay more.
