hands to the top,

from 3/4 back to the top and 3/4 down describe how you feel the hands should move. If someone starts with a closed clubface (right palm down)on the takeaway your hands would look different than someone that rotates more.(right palm up) I want to simplify the hands. I seem to handle pressure better when the body controls the downswing pivot and I want my hands to act accordingly. I have a slight drag takeaway, therfore getting the hands just right is a little harder then the guys that cock there wrists early, I think I have it , I try and feel the right wrist fully bent back at the top and the start down, just trying to do it right , TIM

Do you mean what you should TRY to do?

Or what actually happens?

...

For me....I try for nothing really.....well I do try to Load it at the top tho (Load the shaft for Drag Loading...i.e. Load in the backswing what you pull down in the downswing).

But I just pull really....prolly with my whole torso I'd say......like it's a rotating drum and the Power Package (arms) just goes along for the ride...hands hold on......(and while I'm unwinding, there's some Tilt in there too but I really don't think about that much anymore).

....now I know that's gonna sound right "anti-TGM" to some ppl.....maybe....

.....but that (the torso deal) IS what I feel.

My problem is I screw around with different moves too much, shot 65 2 weeks ago and won the opening tournament last weekend, this week change the driver shaft and frig around with the hands in the backswing. The beauty of playing tournament golf is swing problems always come out under the gun. I was finding I was hitting cuts late sunday, not what I want or my normal flight , my hands were getting over a bit. I do want to turn from the top or use the torso and right shoulder under pressure but get the hands to move properly without thinking about them . I think I may have found it for this week , I really have to consentrate on keeping the right wrist back , and I seem to swing smoother with a slightly closed clubface going back. and tilting a little more at address, Also birdie man I had found the print out from Brians grip years ago and made sure My left hand was correct, it does make things tighter .
