He's working with Harmon and company now...they are flattening out his downswing even more which produces even LESS spin on the ball.

I remember reading that he was messed up the first part of the year because his irons had different grooves in them that didn't fit him. Kinda like low spin grooves in the long irons (to hit them a little longer) and higher spin grooves in the short irons (for holding greens better).

Because of Hanks swing speed and his new swing changes, the long irons wouldn't get in the air high enough (too little spin) and he'd balloon the short irons.

Maybe he just hits 3 woods n such off the tee more now...maybe he's getting smarter?

I can't see him being shorter now...I saw him hit one 380 a few tourneys ago and they said it wasn't crazily downhill or anything. They called it "a drive that the guys in the locker room would be talking about for weeks."

They are a bit of a golfing family from memory. I think her name was Kelly, and Trip (who i think is a brother) also used to play, think he stayed amatuer though

I think he has a great swing, he just has the same problem that a lot of "big hitters" have which are bad wedge play and putting.

Doesn't matter if you can hit it a long way when you can't stick a 100 yard wedge and make a lot of 10 footers.

I remember the last tournament that he was "in" up until the last hole he hit this mammoth like 380 yard drive and had 97 yards to the green to make a birdie to go into a playoff i think.

He flew the wedge over the green.
