Can all you Casio experts out there give me THE DEFINITIVE model to buy considering the following:

I dont video a ton in a lesson
I'm really not smart with tech stuff
I just want the most frames per sec for the buck

I'm pumped to get it but I dont want to whiff on the model.

The Ex-FH20 is awesome. Small, powerful, large screen for replaying to students on the fly, (relatively) easy to use and the current price at Amazon is now $275. Buy a super fast, super large SD card with the money you save.

This is an absolute no-brainer, IMHO.

I just opened the box today. EX-FH-20.

Basically says the FC-100 is the same thing in a smaller case.
I would think that the larger case of the FH-20 would be an advantage
for golf swing movies from a tripod.

I am about to order 8 rechargeable batteries and a charger. Next , based on the huge file sized generated, is a 32 Gb card. The ones with the highest transfer speeds run about $200. So the card and the batteries cost almost as much as the camera.

both are great camera's but I wanted something a little smaller just for ease of use with the family......

make sure you get a class 6 memory card, anything less and you will get frame skipage.

Suggestions on best settings

Just got my own EX-FH-20 from Santa. Any suggestions on the best memory card and camera settings would be much appreciated.

You can find more than a few analytical pieces on this subject. CNET, for example, says that it is very hard to come up with definitive answers. However, it's pretty clear that the high end products are faster and better.
Names like SanDisk, and Kingston are quality manufacturers. The speed of transfer to computer is much better with the higher end cards.

You need a Class 6 card. I had posted that I was looking at a 32Gb card.
After some thought, that is way too much memory and expense. SanDisk has Ultra, Ultra III, Extreme, Extreme Pro blah blah. Who knows.

Amazon has SanDisk 8Gb Class 6 Extreme III 20 mb/Sec write speed for $30.00, SanDisk Extreme 16 Gb Class 10, 30 mb/Sec is $97.00.

Then there's the battery issue. You need a bunch of AA Ni-Mh batteries and a charger. Amazon has some great deals on these.

That said, I haven't actually used the camera on my golf swing. I'm sure there will be a learning curve.

Question for Brian.

1. What model Casio do you use?

2. When you choose to shoot a swing during a lesson, what Frames/Second
do you use?

3. During my lesson you were able to quickly show the video and it looked like
you were rotating a thumb wheel to move back and forth in the video.
I shot a couple of experimental videos at 210 Fps. Seems pretty tedious
to fast forward and reverse on the FH-20.
