having problems with right shoulder down

Mine's high draw. Or high left pull

I'm not sure if this makes sense as far a remedies go.....

My misses were straight pulls. In an attemp to fix this I tried brushing the crumbs off the bib or dropping the club and catching it with the pivot. It worked well for a few weeks. Now I'm pulling with a serious draw, or starting straight with a serious draw (15-20 yds). I don't feel like I'm swinging too far right but I'm starting to get the feeling that I'm getting below plane on the downswing. This is for irons only.

Let's figure this sh*t out jen!

SL,

I had the same problem a while back...same thing, low hooks...it was due to too much axis tilt....
I remedied it by concentrating on "right shoulder-OUT" more on the downswing, that is "diagonally" more out...

The "more out" command tends to reduce maximum compression of the right side too early....but you must complete your pivot too....get your right shoulder pointing slightly left of target at the finish..

Thanx for the tip putt, I'll give it a go today and try to post after my practice session.

yeah...i'm pretty sure I don't flip. If i do a full roll, man that thing is like turning 90 degrees to the left. HAHAHHHA

Yeah, no flipping for me either. I'm gonna try a straighter approach to the Ball and focus on getting the shoulders more open on the ds.

Gonna try a little back and forth drill if I can figure out what it is. I know it's in SD but I think it's in building blocks too.

Just make sure you're not flipping. Mike Jacobs detected this little bugger in my downswing last Friday. I don't know where or how it snuck in, and I didn't even sense it. Confirm it on video.

Try playing the ball a tad further forwards in your stance.

Already do Burner. Wedges middle and moving forward from there.

The alternative then is as you said earlier. Get the right shoulder out a bit as well as down.

Imagine hitting the ball with your right shoulder while getting your left shoulder as far away from it as possible.

Left shoulder up and in, right shoulder down and out.

out to where?

gl,
the right shoulder out move is a compensation if you are using too much axis tilt, whereby the right shoulder is down too early...and it is not neccessarily "out," but "more out" i.e diagonally out instead of straight down...

Thinking right shoulder out is a very dangerous move. You can very easily get your sequencing screwed up and start coming over the top, which can be a hard habit to break. Consider checking yourself on video to make sure you are one of the rare breed having a problem with too much/too early axis tilt before considering this fix. You may need it, but you would probably be well served to make sure first.

uh I think I'm hitting hooks and fat because my right thumb is too much right on the handle.
I moved a lil bit more towards the center..i hit better now
