Hips Backing Up

It has been a great help to my scoring recently to focus on swinging left post impact, i.e. "Follow the Yellow Brick Road." In order for me to square the fact, I *feel* like I am pulling my hands around behind me on the follow through. I mean it feels really, really left and behind me. Most of the time I have no problem doing this, but recently when I swing that far left, I find that my hips back up and move away from the target. This causes pulls and a loss of power. Can anyone give me some advice, or drill suggestions, on how to swing left and not let my hips back up? Thanks for any advice you can give me.
