Lessons learned.

Homer Kelley was a brilliant man. Thank God he wrote The Golfing Machine, because that's how I met Ben Doyle and so many other talented professionals. They shortened the amount of time it took to get where I am today.

You know Ben Hogan said the same thing about his "Five Lesssons," he hoped someone would "go on from there."

Hogan helped me as well.

Spending one more second researching The Golfing Machine or anyone else's material I have pored over for 20+ years is not something I have time for anymore.

I have a boatload of material I need to publish, and I have to upgrade this site to get it to it's next level of form, function and content.

In other words, what I am doing now, is producing content that someone else can research years from now.

I will continue to upgrade my teaching everyday. The next couple of videos that I will release will be amazingly better than any of mine before them.

I think my MANZELLA MATRIX will be a very important work.

I will continue to be a part of the Golfing Machine community as I am a part of the PGA community and a few others. I am attending the TGM Summit in December and do not plan on missing any functions in the future.

My goal is to make sure the folks who read MY books and watch MY videos, won't have to GUESS to what my thoughts were on such-and-such.

I have always said I used Homer's work as a tool, and like my 8 video cameras and three computers. I still do.

Next. ;)

That's good to hear Brian.

But getting back to the questions.

What book did Homer Kelley think was the best instruction book?

Who did he think had the best golf swing?

I don't think you understand.

That's good to hear Brian.

But getting back to the questions.

What book did Homer Kelley think was the best instruction book?

Who did he think had the best golf swing?

Here I'll rephrase the questions:

What book does Brian Manzella think was the best instruction book besides The Golfing Machine?

I don't think a really good one has ever been written.

Some of them were really good at explaining the swing in certain ways, or giving some good insight or info, but absolutely NONE of them taught me what I needed to know.

I hope to change that one day.

Who does Brian Manzella think had or has the best golf swing?

In the MANZELLA MATRIX, I define "best" as: The easiest to copy for the most people and the most flexible from that point.

When the MATRIX is released, I'll let you know.

But it won't be Snead, Hogan, or Moe Norman.

I bet it's going to be a 3 barrel hitters stroke with a delayed pivot:)

Maybe a Ballard Annika type pattern without any funkyness?

You still haven't answered your original questions regarding Homer's preferences.

What's the problem?

I may be wrong, but anyone doing a book that largely explains TGM as in simpler words, might be open for an infringement suit.

I also think it's better to move on.

If you guess a specific name then you missed the nature of the book and the nature of the man. However, It would be the swing that was the best at repeating- on a professional level.
Is his good friend Carl Johnson still living?
Wasn't a "good friend". It's Carl Jonson. Unless you are a relative or friend - who cares.
...I have about 1000 more...

What are the answers Brian?
Brian got one thing right- time to move on.

Good Question.

If it's time to move on, why the hell did Brian ask the questions in the first place?

Because I wanted the whole truth to be known, something, I found that noone else wanted.

I also used to climb trees and metal supports.

Sometimes you leaen from your mistakes. Sometimes you learn BEFORE you fall and hurt yourself. ;)

Brian, remember that what people want now is not what people will always want...get it down on paper now while the guys are alive...but keep it somewhere special... waiting....;)
