There's no way to "police" it nor should there be. Most places just post some photos in the locker room and say "please try to do it this way." The Greens section of the USGA has sample photos.

What do you think the numbers are at Hayfields apart from the saturated effect that they strive for?

hmmm....i think they do mow it around .350, same as the fairways but I do know that they do not use any bentgrass seed in season. they fertilize it and was also told that they use primo, just not sure how much. BTW, they tee is firmer this year than in years past. Still some poa and crabgrass on your old teaching tee.
