Hogan on the lawn

Hogan DID move off the target on the way back when he played his best (1948 and 1953/4), but not as much as shown above when he was 60+ years old.

Also, the questions is:
is Hogan this good because he moved off the ball, or was he good inspite of it? Or was it just compatible with his other components?

I have taught PLENTY of older men who's head was "dead still" and very forward.

I think this swing is a product of Hogan's constant experimentation to improve.

The 3d machines and the latest research on the pivot, is imploring golfers to move OFF THE LEFT FOOT in order to move toward it, then out of the ground, then snap the chain.

Just like I have been saying all of these years.

Looks like that what Hogan did here.

Brian, I have got some swings of Hogan in his prime (just pre-accident) swinging the driver. You can see his head moves off about 2-3 inches. But he does it in the very beginning when he takes the club back. Do you think it makes a difference whether you move off the ball near the top of the swing, or like Hogan who moved off immediately, set it there, then pivot?

Can we get some frames from the Driver Swing in Competition-1948 and the head position before the club is reversed?

A treat for everyone

Can we get some frames from the Driver Swing in Competition-1948 and the head position before the club is reversed?

[x] Classy pivot
[x] No signs of past expiration baloney tripod goofyness
[x] This is the real Hogan!
[x] Look at his hands!
[x] Frame 10 might replace my LOCHO wallpaper, and is my power move.
[x] Most would hit the ball better if frame 6 was the top of their BS
