Hogan trivia

Despite being arguably the greatest ball striker of all time,Hogan never had a competitive hole in one and it would seem he never had one in casual play either.I find this amazing considering how well he struck the ball and how much he plays.Can anyone confirm if this is true or false?

If the writeup at wikipedia is correct, Hogan never had an ace in competition or a casual round.

I've read that he never had one in competition. Hogan said that a hole in one could only be possible with a bad shot. I take that to mean he always shot at the long side of the green with a shape and spin that would insure it stayed on that side of the pin.
