Homer's Greatest Hits

Homer's book is just loaded with gems it is to bad he never had a chance to do a show on TGC. I can just picture a diminutive Toski like figure using all kinds of devices to simply illustrate every callers question.

I believe anyone can master a good grip, make a good shoulder turn, learn to put the club on plane. The position teachers teach this to the masses.
But until you understand and master 6-E-2 The Aiming Point Concept (particularly 6-E-2-1) you remian in hackerdom. Add of course the three imperatives.

Goes hand in hand with Brians wonderful first article AUG. '03 - Don't Hit it at the Target!

Just three?

Lets start with 2-M-3, second paragraph- first sentence.

Homer’s gem: 6-B-3-0-1, The Flying Wedges. Homer was just himself recognizing what a unique concept he pioneered in The Flying Wedges, sort of TGM from dummies in its completeness and simplicity. Mr. Kelley can be thankful that Yoda recognize it too.

And last (as if) - 3-B, third paragraph. I like the first sentence: “So learn to ‘Practice’ a technique into ‘feel’ and then ‘Play’ it into ‘Computer’ dependability.” Just as Homer wrote in the last paragraph of the book, This book can only show you how good your game can be. How good it has to be is entirely up to you. 3-B is putting it to use.

And then there is ......:D

There was a major debate on the chuckevans forum about aiming point between Yoda and Brian. I anticipate more good debate on the subject at the AI meeting.

Good post but I had trouble following this paragraph. When the right hand is in the tray position at the top, how is it "between your head and your thumb."

-Greg

It is the 'thumb pocket' of the right hand, and the left thumb, that are 'under' the shaft at the top. The feel of the 'palm' keeps folks from over rotating going back. I used the word 'head' rather than 'swing center', which is what I meant more specifically - base of neck/top of spine.
