How do you get the left hip to stop rotating (reference NSA)

Hi,

In the NSA video, Brian pointed out that it is important to find a way to stop the left hip from moving (rotating) which will allow the hands to swing through. I recall one is not to open the left feet too much.

My question is:

(1) how do most people do it? Are there different ways to achieve this?
(2) At the point that I think this is happening in my swing, my left leg is straight, my left hip (and weight) probably is above my left heel, while my hands swing through impact. Is this an acceptable position to achieve the 'stop'?

Don't flare your left foot out, turn it way in and make some swings, this will make you swing your arms around your left leg.

This is what Brian taught me over the phone and it works.
