Just wondering what everyone thought about Tigers upcoming season this year. With the knee being fully healed and having something to hit against..How good of a season do you think the master will have with the current swing "philosophy" he has?? How many majors this year?? I personally think he will get 2(Masters,US open). What do you guys think?

well based on what has happened since he left, I haven't seen anyone who has really stepped it up and looks ready to challenge him for world's number 1.

I see at least 1 major and probably a top ten in all four.

1 Major Already Accomplished Sunday!

Woods' wife gives birth to son Charlie Axel on Sunday. It just doesn't get any more major than this! :D

Maybe this is the year.

In my opinion,

The Stars are all aligned.

Philly Mick, is down.

The young guns, like Kim, Mahan, etc. are not yet ready.

If Tiger wins the Masters, he may win all four.

I was playing with a personal trainer the other day that said, with his kind of injury he will not be the same... and he seemed to think ever...

Does that really matter? It sure didn't at the US Open last summer.

I think his only competition will be Paddy Harrington. I wanna see an old school duel between them at every major tournament. :D

Gonna be like Palmer versus Jack... ok not really... but we need that excitement back in golf.

What happens if the Shark shows up at the majors for another run. Now that would be a show.

Final four pairing.

Woods, Harrington, Norman, and... hmm... who else... Boo Weekley just for laughs?

Yeah..I don't know the trainers background you were talking with Dash, but in my experience unless a personal trainer has SIGNIFICANT Experience/schooling, most of them know squat about the body and its injury rehab/recovery abilities. I have seen a few Football players come back from this same injury and not miss a step. Tiger is a bright guy and I bet he did a great job with the rehab and will be in better physical condition than before. It's all about taking every precaution and listening and abiding exactly to what the doctors say. It is my understanding that he has had this knee problem for quite a while. I think he'll be back for the CA Championship and he'll probably win that right out of the box. One thing is for sure..It will be great to have him back on tour.

You know, hes a smart guy, and knows what hes talking about most of the time. None of you know him, so of course you wouldn't just take his word for it... I dont... haha, just throwing out something that someone sort of in the know said, just another thought into the bowl...
We will all soon find out the truth though... we wont be guessing for long.

It's quite possible that...

Tiger's #1 in his life has been Elin and his child(ren) for a few years now.

Just because golf isn't #1 for him doesn't mean that he can't still dominate. Golf wasn't #1 for Jack, either.

Tiger has a "quota" that he's set for himself to reach at some point in his career. My guess is 20 (I'm only counting professional majors).

Once he reaches his "quota," he'll stop winning/playing as much, mostly because he's not practicing as much. His drive will wane as other new interests in his life will start to occupy more of his time.

It won't matter, and Tiger will still win a few more. The fact that he's entered in the tournament and that he won't play unless he can win will be the reason. Oh, that and he's got ability, experience, and confidence, even without the practice.

This is, of course, all theory. Not sure if I believe it or not, but it's cool to think about. Maybe the same happened to Jack, but he had his mark set at 15. He won his 14th in 1975, then kept winning tour events regularly until 1978 when he won his 15th. He then didn't win ANYTHING in 1979. In the eighties, he only won 5 more events; three of them being the 1980 US Open and PGA Championship and the 1986 Masters.

Then again, maybe it was just his health or old age... :D

Wearing a beard and a long red robe on Sundays

Tiger will come out of hibernation with a massive Dostoyevsky beard and a stylish new S&T/Morad move, leaning towards target at P4, majors will be split between Rory McIlroy, Robert Karlsson, Henrik Stenson and Alexander Noren...

who goes to a personal trainer to rehab a major injury? how about a physical therapist? you know, something you actually have to go to school for?

I hope Tiger Plays the Majors. I don’t think golf can stand another year without him. I know I don’t watch when he is not playing. Well the good news is it is less than 6 months till the NFL season starts with preseason. I can’t wait!
