How good will Tiger be this Year?

I was playing with a personal trainer the other day that said, with his kind of injury he will not be the same... and he seemed to think ever...

To quote Brian
"Baloney"

ACL reconstructions do great:
#1 If someone has an ACL reconstruction by a good surgeon- check
#2 No funky infections or "problems" in the initial stages-check (as far as we know)
#3They do their rehab and don't wimp out or decide they know best what to do- especially in the middle stages - week 6-12 (probably check)
And #4 they don't try to do too much too soon, return full force way before it's ready-check

Usually athletes do well with #1 and #2 but due to someone being out millions they go back too soon. This is also true with regular athletes who are used to pushing the envelope or get bored and do too much too soon.

Ultimately, he may get arthritis in the knee more quickly than he would have which may affect his infrequent appearances on the Senior Tour.

So unless the media has been blacked out in regards to any problems then I look for him to be dominant.

Really????

I hope Tiger Plays the Majors. I don’t think golf can stand another year without him. I know I don’t watch when he is not playing. Well the good news is it is less than 6 months till the NFL season starts with preseason. I can’t wait!

So you are a casual golf fan that only watches the tourneys with Tiger in them? Hmmm.... but you spend all this time on golf forum's talking about golf and the swing. I am confused.

i love playing golf, but watching golf is different.
How are you confused? It's so easy. It's like I love driving my sports car, but it's pretty f boring if i watch F1 all day. GET IT?!!! GET IT!!!
Unless it's Schumacher..i dun give a ..

That makes sense. I just thought Guitar Hero was an instructor. No worries I get your point. Although I enjoy watching golf and playing whether Tiger is in there or not. :)

Being a golf instructor doesn't have anything to do with how much PGA tour you watch.

A tournament without Tiger is worth watching if the course is interesting, or theres other big names contending etc...

A tournament with Tiger in it is a stop-down watch everytime.

I am not a tiger hater but it is nice to see different players being followed by the tv cameras. I have seen tiger swing a gazillion times... nice to see new faces pop up in some of the events. Anyway I am probably a lot newer to the game so I enjoy watching different players and how they swing or play. Sorta helps my game. No doubt whoever is on tv I would rather be out playing than watching on tv.

I watch the golf channel all the time, on this forum all the time, thinking about golf quite a bit and trying to practice as often as possible. Maybe I need a life. ha

I Don't Believe Tigers Potential Life Style Change is a Family Determined Decision...

Tiger's family has always been more important than golf since the day he was born.

Tiger is Highly Complex, Very Well Educated, and Thinks Internationally.... My Guess is He is Going to Make a Career Change which May be Golf Related or Not... Tiger is Life Stage Orientated.... His Time Playing Professional Golf has been Essentially Completed(Except for the Majors).... His Life Style Interests and World Outlook Have Changed.... Have a Great Day.....:)

What?

Listen dude, Tiger Woods is going to break BOTH of Jack Nicklaus' Major records—the 18 & the 20— and then, or maybe before then, is going to break Sam Snead's records.

He will continue to play a schedule similar to the one he has in the last couple of years.

Jack Nicklaus had a lot of kids, played 20 tournaments, and never missed a little-league game.

Will Tiger do something else one day?

You betcha.

I'll bet under that in 20 years he will be President.

But not now.

No way.

Have a nice day with YOUR new found common sense.

All I know is I want to see some competition.

Screw Tiger and "seeing history"...!!...or w/e.

That doesn't mean I don't want to see him in fields though. He makes things more interesting.

...

I know they aren't listening to me but to pretend I am giving advice:

Phil: dump Butch and maybe even the rest of your entourage and go at it alone!! Play more of a patient, safe game. Use your tendency to play aggressive sparingly, as a sort of "holstered weapon." (or WHATEVER) Ignore any pressure to be exciting for the sake of being exciting even though you tend to be impulsive and do "whatever you feel."

Padraig: you da man keep it going keep getting better.

Vijay, Ernie, Retief: you've been better before and you can do it again, of course.

Sergio: get a stroke however you can. Keep it fun and intuitive you are like that anyway. In the past you have putted better when you are putting for others.

"Young Gunz": keep getting better don't play for 2nd or money you have enough already. Be careful with the "gurus" and pop instruction!

Everyone else: do something or stay out of the way and don't say anything dumb and/or fuel Tiger.
