In FInneys back swing you could put not one but three dots down his spine and at the top of the back swing he would have maintained his connection to ALL three dots because he turns around his whole spine while his spine stays in place. , then on the down swing he maintains connection to only the top dot while the bottom of his spine moves forward and the very top of his spine, his head, moves back. In SFTPS, The pivot in the TGM book, and Austin, these pivots only use the top dot, (point between the shoulder) on BOTH the back swing and down swing. while the base of the spine moves back and forth. I believe some people refer to it as the spine is doing a pendulum.
