lol it's true...I hardly even watch TV anymore when I'm at home.

If you can't stop thinking about golf when you're trying to go to sleep then you know you're done man. :D

After I tuck the kids in I watch TV all the time. But it isn't on.

I keep it turned off so I can see reflection of my swings in the screen. :D

Carey writes great stuff IMO man...his Clearkey process and the idea of managing anxiety instead of trying to overcome it has been huge for me. His book is the mental game bible to me in the same way TGM is my golf swing bible.

I spent time with Mumford doing my "clear keys" and my 32 ball sets...but that was too rigid...I lack self-discipline...so practice is a time to be creative and to be innovative...But most of all fun!!!

Oh yeah I took that durn test...Had him so confused...His wife decided I was a "Driver-Craftsmen"...what a combo "Aggressively-Creative"...When I play by being "Trajectory and Curvature" I play my best... BUT....when I have a simple plain vanilla shot down the fairway or approach to the green..."X" is lurking near by...

I think Clearkeys are a great thing for very high-pressure/high-anxiety situations. Like DISRUPTIVE, interferes with your chain of thinking, intense, "choking" anxiety.

Because if you're distracting your mind from anxiety with a Clearkey then you have truly accepted that you cannot COMPLETELY overcome it...so there's no point to fight it.

I've struggled with some anxiety problems (like a chemical thing or physical thing in the brain or w/e) and this has helped me immelsely. Because sometimes...when it's bad...there truly is nothing you can do to completely stop it. So you manage it as best as possible.

Test was spot on...Test Proctor had trouble giving a "grade"....Test Proctor's wife gave grade over a dish of "Baked Spaghetti" in Crossville,TN...Cary can't you see...He's like your son...Driver-Craftsmen...

Has anyone else taken his tests on these forums?

I'm a Craftsman. Like I said, his book is my mental bible (TGM=swing bible)...so that makes Carey Jesus...or perhaps some kind of God, no?...(blasphemy!) Hehe :D

Thanks to nevermind for posting the article. Also thanks to Non-AuthorizedTGM for the classic Iverson quote.... One of my all time favorite press-conferences, right up there with Mora's "playoffs!"

Anyway, I may be a strange duck, I actually like hitting balls at the range, sometimes more than playing. Problem is I start tinkering maybe I'll swing, next one I'll hit, then a punch, left,right, horizontal hinge, verticle, angled... get on the course and have all kinds of shots, just nothing repeatable....
