OK Brian.... let's try this another way.

You've got a new student, who is athletic, good at other sports, but new to golf.

Give me the top 10 things you convey to them to get them swinging a club well, in order, and in detail.

And for the sake of other readers here, this hypothetical student hits a block slice, push slice, or pull hook most of the time.

Let's get to what this board really needs to be, a place that people can get information, that they can apply, and helps them play better golf.

I'm off to Vegas for the weekend.... looking forward to seeing some detail and learning something new. Let's see it. And if you don't want to publish it here, drop me an email and let's chat. Your chance to prove you have found a better way, and have new info.

Thanks, EdZ

wow, you must think this is FREE golf info.......it's the manzella golf forum....

he has to prove nothing to you......send him $100 and then he'll answer your hypotheticals for an hour or more...

this forum is for golf swing discussion and debate.....not for brian to prove himself to edz....

lets debate specific points and add substance where we can....

open ended questions put forth to show brian deserves his own forum is laughable at best....

Sounds like you don't have a very good game, EdZ...you sure it's a hypothetical question?...

This place is a place where you can get information and apply it.

Why don't you ask a specific question?

Why don't you prove that you know something, ANYTHING, about the golf swing? This your chance to prove to everyone else that you're justified in demanding that BM prove himself.

Just forget it, Edz. It doesn't sound like you'll be impressed by his answer. This is a Free Golf Forum, the last time I checked, but BM is free to do whatever he wants on this forum. His name's on it.

Signing off,
Brian M

I would like to see you guys be easier on EdZ. I don't how this Manzella Forum is going to get anywhere when it accuses and criticizes its members.

"Good player" Hooks are best fixed PATH first.
All I know is that I can't fix my hooks without opening the clubface first in the backswing and at the top. Must not be a good player then[V]

Brian: My bad shot is a hook it starts fairly straight and hooks hard left. Could you go into how you change the path and why you fix the path first? Thanks

Ragman - I'm surprised you would respond that way. You have been one of the few on these boards who has both a) good info and b) are usually humble and helpful - unlike some.

In any case, I supposed I should remind all of you how this has post evolved.

a) Brian's post re: clubface being THE factor for intial direction
b) my response of "ok, I disagree, show me something that will prove it (still waiting for that one BTW)
c) Brian's question re: how I would fix a slice
d) my answer, which he, in typical fashion, decided was incorrect, yet refused to explain WHY? And was quite rude about it - the ego problem.

Look, I'm all for debate, but debate does not consist of "I am right and you are wrong"

I'm simply trying to get people to back up their info, especially info that is counter to the PGA.

All I see here is mostly attitude, and little, if any, new information.

gfy.............you can figure that one out........otherwise, add something.....

I think I'll call you 'little spike'... you remind me of the little dog in those old cartoons that would bounce around the lead dog saying "yeah... yeah... yeah spike, yeah spike"

Although I'm sure there are other reasons the name would fit....
