Hunter Mahan Practice Swings

Anyone else seem to be fixated on Hunter's practice swings over the weekend? I know you can't see it, but as he goes back and fourth I can't help but picture the sheering forces Michael Jacobs is talking about. He is not going to be out of sequence very often. Doing this practice routine with the sheering forces in mind is a great drill IMO.

Well, shear force it's self is a pretty simple concept. A simple google search will reveal that. Then it's pretty straight forward how the concept of "shear force" relates to your feet and the ground. How to utilize those shear forces is another matter entirely.

I'm more familiar with it from a construction standpoint, eg needing to know the shear strength of screws and bolts.

Still working on the sequencing of those shear forces. I think I have figured out my sequencing of them with short to mid irons. Woods still need some work as I can't use the same sequencing.
