I need some help with NSA 2.0

Hey Guys,

I have received NSA 2.0 and love it. I am having some problems here are a few questions.
1. Should i work on one step at a time because it seems my brain is getting confused with all the steps at once?

2. Why is it when I take my right thumb off the club I hit the ball so much better?

3. On the start of the backswing should I start the twist away right away?

4. Should I have a swing thought because I find myself thinking of many of the things that Brian is teaching?

Today I played a round and it was a disaster I know I have to give it some time but loving this game so much it can be so frustrating.

Thanks for the help

That's the way I intended.

2. Why is it when I take my right thumb off the club I hit the ball so much better?

You stay behind the sweetspot clubface-wise, and ahead of it clubhead-LAG wise.

3. On the start of the backswing should I start the twist away right away?

You twist on a NEED TO basis.

Is the ball still slicing?

4. Should I have a swing thought because I find myself thinking of many of the things that Brian is teaching?

Twist—and hold while you swing "under the stick."

That'll do it.

Today I played a round and it was a disaster I know I have to give it some time but loving this game so much it can be so frustrating.

That's why the driving range is where you need to be, until you are ready to PRACTICE playing.

More Questions.

Thanks for the reply I am not slicing on the range but today playing I was slicing, topping and everything else.

Should keep on working on the range till when and what is practice playing?

I am so confused on what starts the swing also.

What is the three ball drill?

What is the deep divot drill for mashing the ball?

Your on course set-up does not match your on range set-up.

Sounds like—on the course—you are aiming too far left and swinging too far right.

Should keep on working on the range till when and what is practice playing?

You need to both practice AND play.

"Practicing Playing" means going through a whole round, on the range, in your mind and using the shots and clubs you would.

EXAMPLE:

I used to "play" Pebble Beach every day in 1993 on the range. That was my practice session.

First, I hit a cut 3-wood, pretending I was playing Pebble's hole #1. If I pulled it, I practiced a low low punch recovery shot. If I thought that recovery shot would leave a 30-yard wedge shot—I hit one. I was realistic with my "ghost putting," but you could use a real putting green and putt 'em all.

Got it?

Practicing playing.

I am so confused on what starts the swing also.

Feel like you step on your right foot as you TURN the right hip and BEND the right wrist straight back.

What is the three ball drill?

Place 3 balls about 4 inches apart, 90° to the target. Hit the middle one, trying to make your scrape or divot forward of the remaining two balls.

What is the deep divot drill for mashing the ball?

Hit balls out of deep divots.

I don't recommend this one to many people. And I don't think you need it either.

Brian,

When You say I am probably swinging to far to the right can you explain because my divots are coming from an extreme outside.

thanks

Brian,

Not having seen your swing, and knowing what you might be trying from the video, I took a stab at your BIG misses on the course.

But, you are certainly not swinging too far to the right and making LEFT divots.

Swing under the stick, keep your tailbone ahead of your neckbone, and put your right shoulder in your right pants pocket (feel0wise) on the downswing.
