Improve my numbers

Not a Trackman, but I did the Bstone ball fitting and got some data on my swing. The most noticeable was my launch and spin
Launch: 14.4
Spin: 3,658

Any thoughts on how to reduce these numbers?

Are you hitting it out the middle? It's either the swing, the shaft, or the head. Less torque/stiffer tip shaft, tour issue clubhead or something that isn't elongated, hit it higher on the face.

Assuming the device you were using is accurate, and the driver was a 9 or 10 degree driver, it sounds like it's a bad head or shaft for your individual swing. From my experience (too much driver spin and a bunch of time and $$$ trying to do something about it) I would say without a doubt you should experiment with a few different driver heads. The shaft can also make a big difference but for me, the difference in spin with different heads is really dramatic. Lower spinning heads like Callaway Razr Hawk Tour (last year's model which can be found at lower prices now), Bridgestone J40 (smaller of the two has less spin), Ping i20. The Titleist 910D3 has less spin than the D2 for me.

Trackman or Flightscope would add a lot of insight by giving the angle of attack number (whether you are hitting down on the ball or up).

I agree with the head as a pretty large factor. I saw almost 1k rpm drop in spin from the G20 to the i20. You're going to have to experiment to find out what it is.

My distance and smash were good so it was a solid hit
Wasn't necessarily implying a mishit. More like if you hit it high middle rather than straight out of the middle, you'd bring spin down. I wouldn't really try to make any swing changes to achieve something like this, unless you've got time and dedication or it isn't much of a problem to do it. Just saying.

I did one of these B'stone fittings last year outside the PGA store. The monitor is a camera that feeds the image to a laptop. The guy at the laptop then manually draws lines on the 2D image of the golf ball. Where he places these lines "determines" your spin and launch. Surprise, surprise... the B'stone ball had better numbers than the ball I was playing (and so did everyone else's). :D I wouldn't put too much stock into the numbers from their "fittings".

Interesting, thanks
