Assuming the device you were using is accurate, and the driver was a 9 or 10 degree driver, it sounds like it's a bad head or shaft for your individual swing. From my experience (too much driver spin and a bunch of time and $$$ trying to do something about it) I would say without a doubt you should experiment with a few different driver heads. The shaft can also make a big difference but for me, the difference in spin with different heads is really dramatic. Lower spinning heads like Callaway Razr Hawk Tour (last year's model which can be found at lower prices now), Bridgestone J40 (smaller of the two has less spin), Ping i20. The Titleist 910D3 has less spin than the D2 for me.
Trackman or Flightscope would add a lot of insight by giving the angle of attack number (whether you are hitting down on the ball or up).
