Trackman tells us that 85% of the initial direction of the ball is the result of clubface angle with woods and 75% of the initial direction with irons (with center hit). I have found this to be true with my own Trackman but am curious to know if loft makes a difference. Is it the same formula with say, a 2 iron as a 9 iron?
