isn't this shot overused by almost every amateur(at every level) anyways? i'm talking about a real flop shot(full backswing, really high, and short). if the best players in the world only hit this shot maybe once a round, and only as a last resort, do many amateurs even have any business playing it?
Not really...just as in a professional manner it's a last resort shot so that you can get it CLOSE. IMO, the percentage of amatuers who can play that shot and get it close versus the percentage who hit something else and end up 30 feet away, which percentage do you think is higher and will end up ultimately being closer?
Define the following:
Flip wedge, Flop shot, Lob shot.
Every since I bought a 60* w/ 4* of bounce, I've been able to hit square* blade lobs that parachute off hard pan.
I agree...my 60 degree callaway has pretty much eliminated the
need for a true flop shot.
damn it, i sold those for spin mill.
