I just got the Tac-Tic, and I need to bend a wrist a fair amount before it will even make a sound. I have tried numerous manipulations, and still find it to be quite unacceptable. What are other peoples experiences with this training aid?
I had the same problems and I actually broke mine by looping the loop too much. It's a great idea, but it does require a lot of force to make it click.
One of the best trainers is free - take a long iron and grip down so that the butt of the grip contacts the bottom of the left forearm past separation.
My problem was the 'arm end' was too far away from my arm rendering it useless. I velcro'd that end to my arm and it responded much quicker to my wrist bending.
Same here. I think it is a piece of crap. You need to bend a wrist a lot to make it work. I have manipulated it a lot "double loop" etc, but does not help. Put a credit card or a plastic comb under the glove and it works much better. I hope Brian won't sell those tick-tack on this web site.
I tried the double loop to no avail. Thanks very much everyone. I will work with the credit card. Should have posted this topic before I bought the darn thing.
I don't wear a glove (cheap I guess) and I bought one about two months ago. No problems for me, clicks if I bend and nothing broken yet. I think it is pricey but what golf aide isn't today. I have also heard using a pencil and two rubber bands works too....Hopefully, the pencil is not sharpened.
Single best swing aid on the market. I am amazed at the apparant lack of understanding of its many, many, uses. Look, look, look, I know, but listen, listen, listen as well.
If you use the credit card, make sure the numbers are turned away from your hand. You don't want to have your credit card numbers imbedded in your skin.....LOL
I tried the Evershed one and it is very, very similar. Clicks about the same but it does have an adjustment to better fit it to your hand. Personally, I like the Tac-Tic since it is not as obtrusive at the range.
You can use the Tac Tic on either hand too. Monitor either right or left hand. For left monitor breakdown, for right monitor straightening.
